Start Selling Online - Step by Step Guide

Selling online for the first time? We're here to help
At Card Access Services we're happy to assist new merchants to reach their goal of accepting credit card payments for the first time. Contact us today and let our experienced customer service representatives guide you through the necessary steps, or follow our simple step by step guide on this page as we help you understand what needs to be done.
Any merchant wishing to accept card not present transactions - through a website, over the phone or through an automated billing system, must have an Internet merchant facility with a financial Institution. We connect to BankWest, Westpac, ANZ, NAB, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, St George and Bank of Melbourne.

Internet Merchant Accounts are unlike EFTPOS terminal or standard business accounts, and are merely a temporary holding facility that Card Access Services connects to. Funds are then settled into an account of your choice, within the same bank where the merchant account is held, or any bank you prefer.

Our friendly staff will even work with you to try and get you the best account rates available with the banks!
Step by Step Guide
1) Call us to request a merchant application form, and let us know if you need help to acquire an Internet Merchant Account with a Bank, or even let us arrange for your preferred bank to call you!

2) In accordance with Australian taxation law, the bank will require you to have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and may also require you to provide a business plan during your application

3) If you intend to sell through a website, then your chosen bank will require your site clearly states a refund policy, privacy statement and terms and conditions. If you need assistance with any of these, let us know when you sign up with us and we can supply samples to help.

You will also be required to have your contact details, which may include physical & postal address, contact phone number and email address, or maybe just a contact form may suffice!

4) We strive to get you up and running in the shortest time possible, and work with you to have you service ready by the time your merchant account application is approved. Simply send us the account details and then you're ready to launch your service!

5) Set your new service LIVE and enjoy peace of mind knowing that technical support is just a phone call away with our Australian based technicians and engineers!
