The CardSmart smartcard reader from Card Access Services is a small portable device capable of capturing card data for mobile sales people then transacting it to the Card Access Services Payment Gateway as a Card Present Transaction.

The CardSmart device is capable of reading all three tracks on magnetic cards & reading and writing to Smartcards. The CardSmart also supports such card applications as Visa Cash and Mondex and can be configured to work with loyalty schemes

Compressed Solution
Due to its small footprint (less than 12cm long!), the CardSmart reader is perfect for office deployment and so compact & robust that it can be given to staff on the move. Applications for the CardSmart include mobile payments, loyalty, staff identification and security access for PC & network access.


API Software
The CardSmart can be configured for any client requirements. The CardSmart is fully compliant with Microsoft PCSC requirements. An API is available from CAS.

Security
The CardSmart features a series of integrated security layers ensuring that any information captured by the device is encrypted using algorithms such as Triple DES or RSA before being transmitted. The casing for the device meets with AS2805 standards.

Connectivity
The CardSmart supports a range of different connectivity options include IrDA, Bluetooth and USB which allow it to fit into any client's solution.

Mobility
The CardSmart device can be linked to Mobile devices allowing fully secure payments to be taken on the road by staff.
