How Does It Work?
CAS Direct is simple to set up and use.
The transaction pages (CGI scripts) are hosted on the CAS HTTPS servers. When the customer reaches the payment phase of the merchant web site, they enter their credit card details into a HTML form which is posted directly to the CAS server. The transaction is processed and a response is sent back to the customer by one of a number of means. In addition, the merchant is notified that the transaction has occurred.
Payment Notification
The CAS Direct system supports a range of payment notification options. The Merchant is notified immediately a successful transaction occurs.
Notification methods include:
- E-mail;
- Short Message Service (SMS);
- ODBC Database update.
Visa & MasterCard Security
CAS Direct supports Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code to offer Merchants more security when accepting online Transactions. This facility will assist in reducing Merchant Service Fees.
Reporting
CAS Direct offers a comprehensive reporting suite allowing merchants to review all transactions, highlighting both accepted and declined transactions.
Security Standards
The CAS Direct system uses 128 bit SSL to encrypt cardholder's details before submitting them to the CAS Payment Gateway.
Office Integration
The CAS Direct system supports ODBC connectivity enabling database updates for all transactions, directly into internal systems.
