1900 SERVICES
1900 is a national service that is provided by Telstra. The calling party is charged for access to the service they require, and the cost of the call is charged to their phone bill. A percentage of the call cost is paid back by Telstra, which is available for revenue sharing between the Service Provider (Card Access Services) and the Client.
1900 services are ideal for automated IVR services – they allow callers to call from any location in Australia, to access information or connect to a live operator at a premium rate. Telstra offers two billing methods for a 1900 service; a fixed fee service that is charged when the caller connects to the service, or a per minute fee that is charged as long as the client is connected. |
